Foreign families living in Japan often seek an educational balance for their children, especially as they approach middle school and begin considering future career paths and university admissions. While traditional international schools provide global curriculums, students may have limited opportunities to develop practical, academic Japanese skills. Conversely, local Japanese schools can present language barriers for non-native speakers. Operating in the unique multicultural environment of Yokosuka, YBS offers an alternative approach. Following our successful first year of the Middle School program launched in September 2025, we provide a bilingual environment where students can acquire deep cultural understanding alongside global academic standards, helping families navigate the complex educational choices they face.
